Uninstalling Driver Booster removes the updater application. It does not normally mean that every hardware driver previously installed by the program is removed from Windows.
That distinction matters. Your display, audio, network and other devices still require drivers after the utility is gone.
Windows 11 / Windows 10
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps > Installed apps or Apps & features.
- Find Driver Booster.
- Select Uninstall.
- Follow the removal wizard.
- Restart if requested.
Should You Remove Updated Drivers First?
Usually, no. If the installed drivers work correctly, uninstalling the updater is not a reason to roll them back.
If one specific driver causes trouble, fix that driver through Device Manager, Driver Booster’s restore tools or System Restore before or after removing the utility.
After Uninstalling
Windows Update and Device Manager continue to function normally. You can install future drivers manually or use hardware-manufacturer tools.
